What is this button for?
Ok, I don't remember what the button says exactly but it's by the emergency brake, and it's red. I know it's related to cooling something or another. Could you please tell me what its for and what it does?

It sounds like you might be referring to the exhaust system overheat display. It is just a light (not a switch) that goes on when the temp at a point on the floor above the exhaust system gets too high. Is this what you are asking about?

Exactly!, that's what I meant. So how does it relieve all that heat? does it channel the exhaust gases through some other place? Thanks so much maxcooper, I couldn't remember what that light was?

It is a warning light. It lets you know if its getting too hot under the passenger side floor. I've heard that it is a good indicator of a clogged cat. And I believe that the PFC will also activate the light for some reason which I don't remember right now.
