The only import cars that are comparable to 93+ RX-7's are Supra MKIV, NSX.

Well since, your asking on the RX-7 forum, I think most people would say the FD. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. I'm not most people and while I think the Z32 (isn't that a caviler? :P) is a great car, I don't really think you could compare it to the RX-7.

since you are comparing FCs to TT 300Zs...ill have to say go with the Z. but that is apples and oranges.

check out the FC forum for more info on them.

wait....what gen. RX-7 are you talking about?? "93 and older". a 93 RX-7 and a 91 RX-7 are TOTALLY different cars.

Assuming you mean 3rd gen...

Faster? Better looking? Handles better? = RX-7

Has more cargo space? More reliable? = 300ZX

What are YOUR priorities?

exactly. heh the fool's question didn't even make sense to begin with so why would the answer make sense? he asked about the 93+ in the msg title and then asked 93 and older in his actual message.

The FD wins in everything against the Z in stock trim. It has faster times, has a higher top speed, and handles better. Of course, you can always make the Z faster than the FD, but making the FD faster and better would just kill the Z

IMO, the FD looks a LOT better than the Z

my bad...sorry for the confusion people.

obviously, the FD is a better performing car then the Z in every performance aspect. but what the Z has that the FD lacks is the roomyness, comfort, and reliability.

the FD is a sports car, while the Z is a GT.

um...a rex can be a GT car. And I dunno about you, but the FD is might comforting to me. Granted not forever, but no one lives in their car :P. Well at least I hope not, and if you for I'm not bashing your "car-house", but the fact of the matter remains that the FD roxers my boxers.
In a good way.

BTW, that chick down below roxers my boxers too .

My first car was a 95 black rx7, and I loved it. even tho I know there were sayings about the realiability of the rx7s, and also my friends were keeping telling me that I can't handle the 250HP rx7, but I guess I didn't listen to them, then I bought my rx7, now I glad I made the right decision.

yeah, rx7 hands down.

regarding to the comparision betw. 7 and Z, I like the looking of Z and also I think it might be realiable than 7, but I guess 7s have the better numbers on performance.

So, these above are the info about them from a rx7 owner, but choice is yours.

to be happy with your own car is the most important thing.

you're getting alot of rx7 responses because everyone here loves them...but i would go with the Z...looks better, more reliable, and still fast.

What are you smoking? The Z looks better than the FD? I don't think anyone in the world would choose the z over the fd for looks at least.

again ... the question was about performance. not looks ... but, for what it's worth, i too think the rex is a sexier looking car.

and like mentioned before, it all depends on what you want ... and more importantly, what you're willing to do it.

i like to auto-x my car. FD's will run circles around a Z on an auto-x course. i'm not a drag guy, but both cars can be made into VERY fast drag cars. go non-sequential, go single, bigger secondaries ... whatever.

which one is better? the answer is, how big is your wallet? it will probably take a fair amount more cash to run 11's and 12's (or 13's and 14's for us not-so-rich guys) with the FD than with the 300Z. and after that's all said and done, then you get to maintain it. either way, they're both money pits. pick your poison.
