can't you see the hole in the middle of the front bumper
it looks like some ram air kind of idea to get fresh air to the intercooler and intake.
seems like a really really good idea on how to get air naturally flowing to your radiator and intercooler except for that you would need a hole in your bumper?

Staff's custom fabricated charge air chamber system houses the intake filters, and intercooler on this 3rd gen rx-7.
This unit is a definite eye pleaser as well as a functional addition to any high performance vehicle.

Go to the site and click on Photo Gallery. Then go under the first heading "Staff's @ Car Shows." You'll see two more larger pics of the front end (before the air chamber install).

It's a naca duct on the front bumper. Pretty much almost the same duct on the Viper's GTS hood. It's actually not a bad idea. There really isn't anything behind the bumper there, and it DOES sit a few inches above the front upper frame, and it's direct air as oppsed to the having to swirl up and aorund the bumper to get to the top.

I'd imagine people could reach in and open the hood latch on the black FD on the bottom...
I'd definitely not want to go to the mall for a few hours in that thing

thats not paint....
That last pic is a different IC setup than the first one, look at the plumbing and where the AST is placed. It looks to me like that vent sends air over the IC to the radiator. On the first pic you can see what looks like a radiator fan. Either way it is ugly but functional.

I think I'd like it better on a different front like C-west or Feed. Did you see this intake box they made?
