I've seen mags reach anywhere between 157-164.
Of course wind and land height being big considerations, but he's got some decent mods!

I want a pic of the tach and the speedo at that speed... were you at redline or just a loss of power?

I've hit 155 mph on a long empty highway down here playing with a Z06 vette. I passed him up at 140 mph and he didn't continue to run me down....which I'm sure he could've easily done. Car was very stable at that speed and still had some left in 5th gear. I'm guessing I could've hit close to 170....then again I'll never know cause that's probably the last time I top end for a while. Too damn risky.

tracking sucks nuts, i was launching (3K rpm) and I spun out till 5th gear, it just keeps spinning, but the dry lake beds arn't really made for drag, just high speed runs

elevation was about 5000 ft, would that explain it?

Someone should organize a 7 outing to the lake bed after 7 stock. Give everyone driving a huge distance to be there something else to look forward to. Since it's only a couple of hours from LA it certainly seems possible.

Don't ask me though, can't make it to SevenStock this year.
