Going back over this thread, I can only imagine that Kevin would smile at how many "old timers" have stop by to pay respects... Quite the testament to the wondeful legacy he left on the rotary (albeit FD) community!!
Wow. It's great to see the ole boys from the BigList on this thread.
I fondly remember that stretch from 1995 to 2000 and hold those years in nostalgy.
Kevin Wyum was definately one of the many contributors and strong characters of the time.
Kevin... I raise a can of Mountain Dew (his elixir of choice) and salute you.
To the ole boys of the BigList... You have left a life altering impression on this boy.
Cheers fellas!!

Man i'm late as hell...in Afghanistan right now. Just saw it on one of the VA forums i used to hang out on. This dude was a genius. Bruised me in some msg board scuffles. He will truly be missed. I respect him.
Wow, after reading the article I can see that not only was he a awesome car nut but a great guy. Sad to see such a brilliant person leave so early, but sounds like he touched a lot of peoples lives so he won't be forgotten. My condolences to his family and friends.
wow ... last June, eh? well, this is a bit shocking especially since i just thought about him within the last 2 to 3 days. i never met him, but i remember his name (and FD) from many, many, many years ago.
i'll raise a glass to his memory.

wow, I can't believe I just find out about this thread and never knew he passed away. I remembered the days when he and I used to discussed modifications and tuning on the big list and IRC chat room back in the 90's. I remembered talking to him briefly last year when I was in Minnesota tuning some cars and he was telling me how much he missed it and wanted to get back into it. I remembered him asking me what were the best parts for the car these days since he was out of it for so long. We talked about motec vs. haltech vs. Vipec systems, turbo selections, fuel injectors, ignition amps etc... I'm shocked that no one told me about this for the past 6 months... RIP Kevin....
Wow this sucks, I just saw this thread in a different search. I'm very very upset, I almost cry whenever I read these threads even if I didn't know them. Even though I never met him, we use to talk back in the late 90's-early 00's. He was truly a racing genius, I remember first seeing and reading about his car in turbo magazine(cover pic) and this was the late 90's with twin turbo setup running high 10's!!! Buddy I'll miss you, my condolences to your family, I'll pour some liquor for you, and REST IN PEACE....
Sadly I only got the pleasure to talk to Kevin once and it was on this forum. I have been hesitant to post in here. After reading about him, his amazing achievements, and all his contributions to the rotary community I just want to share my condolences. Wish I could have met him and talked rx7s since we both lived in Minnesota. Rest in peace
