Ok so because of the Thrust bearing issue I had to open my engine again after just 120 miles on it... Everything is ok except for the stationary gear which i am replacing alongwith the water seals...

My question is that I am resuing the apex seal springs and following the Knightsports video it said to keep the pink end of the apex seal springs facing upwards. Now that the paint is burnt off what should i do? Can i use any side facing up?
