We know who's FD doesn't work...but whos DOES?
Sorry guys,
I've been on the forum for nearly 10 months now, everyday I read horror stories of who's car doesn't work, or who's engine's blown, or someone isn't boosting properly. It's rather quite depressing honestly.
You never hear the "good" stories only the "horror" stories.
So, I came to the conclusion that we needed a "moral boosting" thread. So here goes.
Who's FD is alive and kicking? Who can say "Man, I love my FD! it's working great! I haven't had any problems lately." ?
Thanks for the replies

Man, I love my FD! it's working great!
My neighboor's son told me the fastest he has ever gone was 90mph. I told him I usually hit 100 at least ONCE everytime I take the FD out....and then I told him we need to go for a ride very very soon so that I can break his little speed barrier

Mine is working fine too, but I do have an oil leak around the oil drain plug that needs to be fixed. However, when you read the tech sections, that is where people ask how to fix problems, then yes you will feel that way. Same thing for any other car if you read their how to fix section. Most people do not post that they had a great day with the car and no problems.

I love my FD - I look forword to driving it every day! And, yes it is my daily driver and I use it to commute to/from Ventura to Santa Barbara for work (40mi ea way) 2-3 times a week!

Mine is now doing fine...
Had the good 'ole "gas smell in the cockpit under acceleration" problem. After installing the BOV, doing some engine cleaning, and generally messing around the engine bay, it disappeared (also had the fuel system pressure checked, after the fact, to verify no leaks).
I wish it was a daily driver. If I worked closer to home, it definitely would be!

Mine just had the engine blueprinted & overhauled with a streetport @ KD Rotary.
Removed airpump, added block-off plates:AWS -3k idle when starting the car, EGR –recirculates exhaust gases to intake, ACV -directs air to air pump. Power Steering pump removal, added short shifter.
I love this sports car. I've driven Porsches, Corvettes, Mustangs, Lotus, etc..... I bought an RX-7: always get off this car with a big grin on my face. Who said you can't get satisfaction?

Mine is great, 140K and still kicking. The door handle broke the other day and I installed a new one. I was a little nervous cause I drove 400 miles the other day, but the car had no problems at all.
So far my FD has given me nothing to worry about, oh and yea mine is bone stock.

I don't think you hear too many stories about happy FD's because it's not like people come to the forum just to say, "Hey, I just wanted everybody to know that my FD is still running strong."

Yeah, so I thought it was about time to start a tread for that purpose.
