I put mine under the single unit stereo, with a boost and oil temp gauge. I got the VDO vision series gauges. They were inexpensive, and look nice. I also got a 3 gauge din plate from them. I got orange bulb covers so the lighting would match the stock lighting.

The best place to get a gauge from is pretty much any performance store. They are all relitve. Rotary Extreme can probally get them. Rx-7 store. or even Gotham racing. Either way, defi probally makes the best gauges IMO. It installs pretty easily you just find a place to mount the sensor ( I put mine in the thermostat housing) and then you connect the wires to power, ground ect. I mounted my gauge where the center channel speaker used to be. I also mounted my EGT gauge there as well. If you plan on getting a upgraded ECU such as the Apexi Power FC it can display the coolant temps as well.

if your installing the guages yourself you can make the plate for under the stereo with a blank piece of plastic from a stereo shop.
My website shows some locations for the guages.
I have quite a few, but with the rotary, there isn't too much lead way to play with, so you have to keep things pretty monitored.

which is better, tapping the sensor into the filler neck somehow by either removing one of the hex screws or actually tapping into it, ..or is the greddy adapter just as effective?
thanks

I had my buddies over at CV2 tap into the filler neck like where it bulges out on the right side. They had to grind it down a little bit for the sensor to be all the way inside the filler neck, but it looks sweet. I've been meaning to take pictures. Hopefully I remember tomorrow.
