Water leak when filling radiator

I was just in the process of filling the car up with all the vital fluids before starting it for the first time and have discovered a water leak. I traced the leak to the waterpump housing where there is a hole directly behind the waterpump pulley that looks like it's meant to be there. Is this right or is something wrong? The leak didn't happen straight away but after I had a few litres in there it drips out when I try to fill it more.
Thanks for the help guys, I am still learning new things everyday about how these cars work.

It is called a weep hole, it starts leaking when the seals have failed. You need to replace the water pump.

Thankyou "banzai racing" I had a feeling it was a failed waterpump. So do I need to replace the entire waterpump/thermostat housing or just the actual waterpump itself?
Cheers again, much appreciated.

You can just replace the waterpump and gasket, no need to buy a whole new housing. You may want to pick up a housing to block gasket also, since you will be releasing the tension when you remove the WP.
