Water in exhaust?

On startup, after the AWS drops back down to "normal" idle my car smokes (white) and I noticed fluid coming out of my tailpipe. I think it is water, because it dosnt smell like coolant or oil. What may be causing this? Bad seals somewhere? Is it time for a rebuild? The car has 79k but on the second motor. I dont know when the motor was replaced because the precious owner put it in and i got my car from a dealer so i cant track him down. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Nothing to worry about unless you are also losing coolant. Most cars do it while cold.

Yes, it's condensation in the exhaust.

Mine spits it out on startup since the garage where it sits seems to just soak up moisture...

Scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it.

correct me if i'm wrong, but water is a natural by-product of combustion. totally normal. you don't see it when the car warms up because it evaporates from the higher temps.

that is absolutely correct. water(H2O) is a by product of CO2(carbon dioxide). physics class taught me something. if forgot what else was in the equeation, but water is the result. now if oyu have niagra falls be worried.

If it's pumping out water like crazy then you need to worry, but other than that. It's normal.
