The stock turbos are water cooled.

Water cooled center housings aren't strange, they are a great way to prevent oil coking on hot shut downs.

There are two hardlines on the turbos to direct the coolant: one is on the outside, the other is on the inside. Take a look from under the car and see if you can tell which side is leaking. If it's the one on the outside, you may be able to just torque on the banjo bolt so more to stop the leaking. If its the inside one, you'll have to pull the turbos.

If you do pull the turbos, I would recommend reconditioning the turbos while they are out:

1. New copper crush washer for the coolant banjo bolts for both lines
2. New turbo oil return line gaskets

I've heard someone else mention this before, but I have yet to ever see it happen on the FD.

Bad crush washers on the coolant hardline banjo bolts. As I mentioned before, depending on where the leak is coming from, you might be able to get a wrench on it and tighten the bolt a little more.

Does it only leak when the car is running, or does it leak when the car is not running (i.e. if you add coolant to the filler neck, some of it will go straight to the floor)?

Put the car up on jackstands, start it and slide under the car. If it's one of the hardlines, it will most likely be the one on the outside which is accessible. If it's leaking from one of the banjo connections, try to tighten the banjo a little more to stop the leak.

There are 2 rubber coolant lines that run to and from the turbos. The rubber will eventually break down, and they will have to be replaced. This could be the source of your leak.

It is also possible that you have a coolant leak that is completely unrelated to your turbos. You really need to find out exactly where the coolant is coming from before jumping to any conclusions.
