I have no idea about our cars specifically, but some cars have the CEL come on if the knock sensor goes off.

Enough with the joke, this thing is bothering me. Beside the Alternator waht else could cause the warning to come on under full boost?

Your voltage light can come on due to a poor alternator connection, a poor ground, or a loose belt. Check your connections, grounds, and make sure the belt is tensioned properly. I had the same problem on my Silvia and it turned out to be that the belt was coming undone. It was still spinning the alternator but it wasn't up to par...

OR it could also be a slipping belt. Check and see how old the belt is or maby if you know when it was last replaced? This was the reason why my check battery light would come on at high RPM, I replaced the serpentine belt for the alternator, problem solved
