Battery to trunk relocation Q's
Ive read alot of threads with writeups/how-to's of people relocating their batteries to the rear bins, but not any relocating the battery to the trunk. I'm doing this because i have rear seats in my project FD. Anyway, ive found a base mounting kit for an optima battery (hopefully it will be secure enough in the case of an accident) and im buying everything else now to build the setup. Before i buy, i wanted to ask if anyone felt that 0 gauge wire was overkill, and a waste of money for my run to the engine compartment? Thanks, Heath

0 gauge is overkill IMO unless you have a big stereo or other electronics that will tax the system. BMW uses used 2 gauge and so does my Mini Cooper S. I've been using 2 gauge on the RX7 for 2 years now with no ill results.

BTW it looks like you live fairly close its nice to meet all of the FD guys in the bay. there seem to be a good number of us. -Heath
