wannaspeed TB O-Ring

Hello, just curious if anyone has experience with these O-Rings.

93+ RX7 throttle body o-rings [TB-Oring-rx7-3] - $3.00 : Wannaspeed.com!, For all your Go-Fast Needs!

I searched and came up with no info on this particular product. Just want to make sure their quality and don't leak. We have expensive cars and for how many times the UIM and everything comes off I look for ways to save some coin. Call me cheap if you want haha. 9 bucks for 3 is better than 66 for 3 haha.

No experience with them but I'll be getting some of these in the near future.

That actually got my attention now. If only it were the same case for the gasket.

I used fuel resistant gasket paper and cut the gasket the shape of the elbow.

But the elbow takes a O-Ring? BTW any of you reuse gaskets? specifically UIM to TB gasket.

I usually get the o-ring from Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda. No idea how much they cost though.

Yes, the metal gaskets can be re-used easily. Just don't bend them.

The Throttle body holds the O Ring in a groove. The elbow sits up against it.
I've had encounters with that O-ring slipping out and it Pisses ya off when you get a Leak.
I made up a Gasket that I can see.I slip it on the throttle body studs and No more leaks..Plus it doesn't matter IF I have an O ring or not,it will seal up.

Wannaspeed is related to the user dudemansownrx7 with a couple extra letters in his name here on the forum. He's a stand up guy. Don't know anything about the product though. Message him for details.

Referring to the gasket attached to the UIM and TB, I believe some cars may still retain the older style gasket which was made of some sort of rubber and not metal.
I know this because when I was working on the car last year the gasket was broken on the thinner areas and was very flexible.

If you buy a new one from the dealer (preferably Ray Crowe) then yes the gasket is made out of metal and can be reused.

I think I might go with the mcmastercarr one. Although the gasket making idea sounds nice. Id like to see pics of that. Mines the rubber one, appears to be good, ill just switch up to the metal one.

I just reuse the stock one until it gets lost or there are problems. Static O-rings are completely different than gaskets in my book.

an old o-ring can be unreliable. I'm not sure about the wannaspeed one, but wannaspeed has a water/meth injection kit that a lot of people like.

If it's falling out on you, just use something to hold it in in the groove. I like using Crisco (white stuff in the blue tin), which also works well on engine coolant seals.

Is crisco your replacement to everyone using vaseline? vaseline should be fine right? everyone builds with them haha.
