The hose you are showing comes with the 400 install kit, which is the wrong size. Here is an unopened 450/525 kit, as authentic as it gets.

That is just the newer version of the same install kit. The 400-1168 supersedes the 400-0085. The only difference is a different hose and a few more connectors (That are not used in this application). My TI rep stated that this allows for more of a universal fit. This rubber hose has given us ZERO issue over hundreds of installs. I have some of these 400-0085 kits here because I buy 5 cases (of 20 units/case) at a time and the install kits come with each pump.

As stated previously, "It is a snug fit on the pump but goes on. I get them direct from TI automotive so I have no doubt on the authenticity. Either way, there is more than one way to do things and each of us can do it how we feel works best."

My bracket is sold with and without the install kit so each user can make their own decision on that. This install bracket is the best solution for the FD so far and allows for less issues with mounting the pump.

Funny considering you are not showing a real pump. All the authentic pumps have QR codes. You are showing the same knock offs that Elite installs, that have already been established by TI to be fake, might want to contact your rep about that. https://www.rx7club.com/new-member-r...otive-1136452/

Everything I'm seeing is telling me the stamping changed in 2018. Here's some info on the various 450 series pumps from Radium Blog Post Testing the TI Automotive (Walbro) F90000285 Fuel Pump

Read more here: https://www.irperformance.com/2019-0...-counterfeits/ for the truth about Walbro pumps.
The confusion behind QR code and No QR Code versions of the pumps. We did ACTUAL research regarding this and got to the bottom of the issue with facts.
In the future it would be wise to get FACTS before accusing people of selling products that are " Not authentic" to the community.
Misinformation should not be touted as fact.

As promised, TI put out a document explaining this just as we did in detail on our blog post.

Thanks for posting that. I just checked my new Walbro Hellcat pump I received in the mail and it looks like it's from the Caro facility. I'll post results once I get it in the car with the IR pump mount adapter.

Wiring from pump to bulkhead

Hi i bought and installed one of these not long ago the wires from the pump are spliced into the wires that go upto the bukhead but they are considerably thinner than the ones that came with the pump harness is it possible to rewire the intank side of the bulkhead

When we install these in the shop or if a customer purchases a full setup from us we depin the stock blue connector under the stock hanger and crimp larger pins onto the Walbro wiring so it is of sufficient gauge. Any aftermarket pump in these cars really needs a dedicated relay and upgraded wiring to flow correctly and not overheat the stock wiring.

Ihor, nice investigative work. I'm happy to see 3 very big names (all which I respect and support) so passionate and involved in this discussion. Ultimately this benefits the community, and we all learned something. Thank you.

You really need a professional tune by a skilled rotary tuner. The base map is not intended for much more than getting the car up and running. I would contact Shawn Christiansen or Elliot White. I know Shawn does remote tuning.

Unless you feel like doing a rebuild in the VERY near future I'd avoid boosting that car until you get a real tune. Just my opinion.

IRP hasn't been in business for many years. You won't be getting a kit or response from them.
