VIDEO: Fired up new Pineapple Engine Tonight!!!

WOW! All I can say is I can't wait to get it broken in!!!

Rob & his crew did an excellent job on this motor, it fired up on the first try and sounds awesome!

Mucho Kudo's to zayrx7 @ the RX7 Store for his above and beyond the call of duty helping me with the engine swap...(ok, I mostly handed him tools... )

Enjoy!

skunks - I asked for a Large Streetport to be used with a GT35/40, max target HP, 600rwhp.

We let it run for 5 minutes, topped off the oil & coolant, then started it again for 30 minutes, topped it off again, started it again for 10 minutes, steady water temp of 86C -- Still Smoking a bit, but the MASSIVE amounts of smoke stopped after about the first 15 minutes.

911GT2 - during the engine swap I also replaced my Greddy PE with the JIC Bullet...w/out the silencer in there, it's pretty freakin loud...but then again it was 4am and everything else around was pretty quiet...

If I remember he got a large street port.
Yea, for my engine (from rob) the smoke cleared in a few minutes. It wasn't fun tho cause it was in my garage!

vacuum was @ -5 when I first started it, after running for 45 minutes, it's up to -10 now. As the engine breaks in over the next 500 miles it should go up more as well.

It gets a filter, just didn't feel it was critical for the first start since I wasn't going to be driving anywhere.

Also, we were a bit anxious to crank it over by 4am this morning...

If you look close, you'll see the intercooler couplers aren't even on or tightened down either...

hahah, I have a full T1 @ my house where this video is served, ummm....pegged @ 1.536Mbps right now outbound....hahahah

stokedxiv - I paid $4,300 total. That is WITHOUT a core exchange (kept my stock motor to have it rebuilt next spring, probably for another car, purchased a rebuildable core from Rob). Included LARGE Streetport, stage 3 oil mods, upgraded seals (whatever Rob uses for his 600rwhp targeted cars, I don't remember what he told me), his 5yr, 60,000 mile warranty and shipping.

oh yea, i meant to ask you... what do you use the 7 for? was/is it a daily driver? (doubt it, lol) since getting the large street port is strictly a weekend toy? with that new idle does it seem like it would be a little more of a challenege to drive in normal conditions? it just sounds like it wants WOT i'm trying to figure out what size port i would want... i might want to use it for more than just weekend cruises, but i would have a daily beater. that 500+hp figure is just so much to drool over, any advice? thanks a lot...

Sounds like a Harly at idle and a 4 stroke dirt bike when you touch the gas (and I bet a dragster when you punch it)! Oh yeah, i've got it looping in surround sound

only 4200 that is an amazing price isnt it?
If you exchanged in your core what would the price have been? That doesnt include installing it right?

**** no cab I can't believe you are doing this to me

I am starting all over. I have to have a large streetport.
Seriously my car is now for sale. The mods are in my sig.

It has a new mild streetported motor with 3k on it and a custom paint job.
