very strange boost discovery

non sequential
intake full exhaust fuel pump pettit ecu

all I have connected is the omp, fpr, 1 solenoid on front of uim, map sensor, a line for the manual boost controller valve, the crv and bov

no other vacuum hoses the rest is capped

The pill is out of the wastegate line and in place is the home depot valve. I have to almost close it for the boost to be affected. At 1/8 of a turn the boost starts to go up from 7psi to arond 8ish. When I got 11psi in first I was happy so I left it set like that. I also did full throttle in 2nd and 3d and it was staying below 12.

Now when I'm just driving in 2nd gear or downshift into it and punch it the boost goes really high today I saw 16psi and QUICKLY let off. I was watching the gauge cause I didn't trust this mbc ****. when driving in 3d or 4th or when i downshift into them I get 10.5 psi in 3d and 9.5 in 4th

If I go from a dead stop redline 1st and go into 2nd then ill get 11-12 psi in 2nd but any other way and the boost goes wild only in 2nd gear. I even tried going into 3d at 80mph and i still got 10.5 psi there
temerature outside was very similar on all runs

i need some help all this test driving is getting dangerous in my neighborhood

THANKS
a DiD you know
did you know that if your car is idling and you leave the clutch up and push the shifter to 3d and hold it your car will start to move forward? or is it just my car and the synchros are broken haha?

Doesnt your ECU still try to use the WG duty cycles to help control boost...? I dont know anything about the Pettit ECU, sorry...

I had the same problem and I have about the same mods. I bet the mid-pipe is whats throwing yours overboard. Is your wastegate ported?
I also played with the pre control with a MBC and couldnt find a good spot.
Now I have a Profec B and am having to find a new leak thats causing inconsistancys in the boost.

yes I got a picture of a ricer driving in a honda and it's very realistic when my car is parked you can get a very good feel for how fast the ricer's car would move by observing the sticker on the *** of my car (where the flames burn it from the exhaust)

TT: The ecu is basically a stock ecu that takes away the fuel cut and allows for maximum usage of the stock fuel system.....you can add a fuel pump with it but not injectors...so yes it works the same way the stock one does...I don't have the precontrol or wastegate solenoids hooked up any more and I definetaly dont need the precontrol since im non seq

wastegate isn't ported. I thank my ingenious first mechanic for not mentioning that to me when I was fukin modding the car....

any other ideas? I've got the boost under control now using a different method thanks to SPOautos but I'm still perplexed on how the boost fluctuated while downshifting or driving in 2nd rather than going into it after redlining first.
