Verifying OEM status

How does one verify that a 99 spec spoiler is in fact OEM and not a knockoff? Thanks guys!

OEM 99spec spoilers are made from polyurethane, the rubbery plastic that you find on the stock front and rear bumpers. Replicas are made of Fiberglass or CF.

Are there any markings on them that one might be able to see in pictures? I am looking to buy one from a remote location so I can't see it in person unless I decide to buy it.

I'm not sure how the 99 spec works, but my 93 R1 had like 5 numbers on the bottom or so. Hope that helps...

I would assume that on the bottom of the unit there is a number that begins, as all FD parts to, with 'FDxxxxxxxxxxx'

Thats correct.

IIRC ALL OEM parts have a model number on it.

Thanks guys!

Unfortunately things have come up and I won't have the funds to buy the spoiler JDM or not. I'm just gonna end up gettin' one through Ramy in the future anyway.
