Chill out there RX7SpiritR. Just thought I'd share the info so you don't go around ******* things up.

Maybe if I got some performance or reliability out of venting the BOV I'd go to the trouble of venting and filtering it, but as far as I know it's just for the sound. Not worth messing with.

i'm a little confused about the CRV, the longer tube going to it, when i remove it...i just plug the end of the CRV and the hole on the airbox?

what is the CRV?

DO NOT PLUG UP THE CRV! Just plug the empty holes on the airbox so that hot, dirty engine bay air isn't sucked in.

The CRV is the Charge Relief Valve.

It vents the charged air from the rear (secondary) turbo until 4500rpm. At 4500rpm the CRV closes and the Charge Control Valve (CCV) opens to allows the boost from the rear turbo to combine with the boost from the front (primary) turbo. If you didn't vent the secondary boost before the CCV opened, then the boost would push back on the secondary turbo and not allow it to spool very well.

just to make things easier for everyone.... only plug the holes that are created on the airbox....
DO NOT PLUG ANYTHING BROWN i.e. your *** cuz it might burst...j/k
Plugging either the CRV (charge relief valve) or BOV (blow off valve) will cause your turbo's to f- up because they will recieve backpressure. It will not hurt anything if you vent it and I think it makes the car much more fun to drive... hell I have 3 BOV's for my car (don't ask) not all at once... all make their own special noise...
anyway, the BOV is a scarry thing to a soccermom talking on her cell phone when properly discharged. Not only will it make her a little distracted from her phone and maybe even her kids but it might even make her look up at the road!!! I suggest this simplification to anyone w/ a turbo. P.S. Please strap the damn thing down so you don't break it. (Zip-tie) to the frame... wires.. whatever that can take the slightest bit of tortion. I might also suggest taking a screwtype loopclamp (whatever you want to call it made of metal... has screw... has slits for screw to push on) And trace where the BOV tube originates at (Y-Pipe) and replace the stock clamp w/ the one in your hand since boost my be leaking out from there. (NO NOT THAT!!!)
