vented hood in rain

im not sure how to search for this, so point me in the right direction if you know of another thread.

lets say you have a hood like this one:

and it starts to rain...will everything be ok? if you dont have a filter on your turbo will something not work right? will anything get damaged or not work right?

to answer your question, no nothing should get hurt. yes water will get in there when your moving slow. however if you are on the highway or at a cruising speed, you should have little to no worry about it. The only thing i can see happening is the causing a little oxidation to any various nuts and bolts you have in your engine bay. For the most part, it will be ok. I have driven in extremely heavy rain with my knight sport hood and nothing was affected.

Also produced by Rotary Extreme as the N1 Hood. It comes with rain trays that clip on from the bottom side to keep rain out when you need it. I've got that hood, but I've only used the rain trays once. They work well.

There is another place selling the same kind of hood (not from the same manufacture)....about 750 if I remember correctly. I just don't know where that is.....it's been a while since I saw the thread I read.
