There's a few possible discrepancies here that are standing out to me. It could very well be nothing though. As far as the price, obviously I would like our car values to continue to climb (though I have no intention of selling mine.)
The car is RHD, is that a non dealer plate? I can't tell, images are too blurry. To my knowledge the only way to get a legalized RHD car in California is to have it converted at G&K. I'd personally be forthcoming with that documentation if I was asking that price.
My other mention, is they allude to 'Hans car' (which we all know what that is I'm sure) but the fact he mentioned the term "hero car" makes me think some people could potentially mistake that for being the actual car used in the film.
Other than that, the only thing I can think of is..why sell a $100,000 car on craigslist? That would be BaT material at the least. I haven't used craigslist in years, so I may be wrong on this, but it seems a bit of an odd place to list a car like that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy is just out to fool someone. I don’t think anyone with that kind of cash to spend on a car would mistake it for the original. But hey, it’s a good opportunity for anyone too impatient to sit and wait for the kit to arrive from Japan right now.

I don’t know what’s under the hood, but I can’t imagine that this car is worth $100k. A much nicer fortune build sold on CarsandBids last year for $60k:

LHD version with same colour scheme traded hands up here for C$110,000 recently. Was listed for C$160,000.
Donor car was a '94 that had had a fairly recent engine rebuild with reliability mods.
(Car had/has a bashed front corner.)
I think the reference to "Han's car" is basically what it is called, replica or not.
Even the diecast models/toys refer to the car as "Han's car".

If you think like that why are you even here? Keep in mind that the same thing can be said for any collectible car... For instance, why spend $250k for a 1959 Porsche speedster when you can get a gt3?
The answer is: if you have to ask then you wouldn't understand.
