CO Vacuum lines question what's this, a check valve?

Pulling my solenoid rack I it had what I would describe a metal check valve. The only way it shows up in the diagram between the purge control solenoid valve and the catch tank. Now on my spare engine, a JDM block it indeed has a plastic Green/White check valve. On my car there's a metal one. (orange line)

Down here we see the diagram

On here we see the metal valve

Yes. The metal one is a check valve also. It should be between the UIM and the purge solenoid as shown in the diagram. Looks like it is in the correct position in the pic of the rats nest.

It's part of the system that pulls gas tank vapors into the engine to be burned. It's a ball and spring check valve and rarely fails, at worst it just needs to be cleaned.

The other check valves are problematic, I have Viton replacements. PM me for details .

Thanks guys, yeah I hate the plastic check valves I have a few that failed and one solenoid so far. Luckily the JDM engine I bought a while back has supplied many spare parts.

I broke a few solenoids luckily I had some to spare
