Does the tanks need to be above pump line ??

It won't work fine once water level is below the level of the feed inlet on the pump. Spend a couple minutes and raise the tank or relocate the pump lower.

It will likely still work once the level is below the pump inlet as long as the pump provides enough suction and water is covering the outlet port on the tank. Most water injection kit pumps can handle a small amount of suction to prime itself, but they aren't designed for it.

Best to just move it so the tank is above the pump...it's the better way to install it.

Great info...

I´ll try to move the tank a bit higher, but the pump I already installed the threaded rivets so would like to keep that position if I can...

Sorry if I gave you some bad info, I was just comparing it to my system using the windshield washer reservoir with a siphon tube which has always worked well.
