Vacuum line hell
Hi! So first off I'd like to say that I want to burn this car down to the ground after seeing and working on these vacuum lines, like... wtf?
Anyway I'm looking for some clarification on two of the pipes because I can't seem to figure out where they go. I'm using the vacuum diagram picture from the simplified sequential vacuum thread.
Where does #1 go to? According to the vacuum diagram picture it doesn't exist... but it's there on my car.
Where does #2 go to? According to the vacuum diagram picture it's an empty pipe which I guess is fine but by looking at it there's marks that there was a vacuum line there. I also took before pictures and it does have a vacuum line attached to it but unfortunately my pictures aren't detailed enough so I can't see where it is going.
Also, the white check valve to the right of #2 doesn't exist on the vacuum diagram either which is kind of weird.

#1 is capped on mine too. It's a JDM car.
I don't think the white check valve is the pcv. Mine is noticeably bigger than that. Where does it connect? There's a vacuum line that has a check valve and runs from the vacuum chamber to that area.
I just did the simplified sequential on my car and I chucked that rats nest. I used the bracket that the solenoids slide on to but tossed that metal rats nest. I used brass T's to connect all the lines. Made it 100% easier and the car runs great. I ordered them from online but I was buying my fish food from petsmart and noticed they sell the size I used there for airline tubing.

Is your car an automatic or a converted automatic? That big check valve and extra empty pipe are for the automatic.
Normally #1 is capped but I think that may be part of the automatic stuff again. I've only worked on one automatic FD like 20 years ago so I haven't done much with it. Most of the vacuum diagrams you will see are for manual trans cars.

Yes it's an original automatic car and I don't remember off the top of my head where the other end goes to, I'll double check when I get home.
I was debating on doing simplified sequential but if I did it I would want to do it the right way, meaning block off plates and a pulley kit to remove the air pump but then I would most likely need a ECU which would end up costing quite a bit and I'm just not sure if I want to keep the car.

Just keep it simple. The air pump and emissions isn't hurting you, just leave it be. If you are wanting to make more power, then you will have to step up to a PowerFC or something.
BTW, I looked at some other vacuum diagrams and both the lines you have questions on are automatic related. The double throttle control in the upper intake manifold is tied in to the automatic, I think the computer may actuate the plates to choke the intake down at certain times, maybe when shifting or something.
Find a vacuum diagram that has the automatic stuff and you'll be golden. There also should be a black plastic box under the intake manifold, it's a vacuum reservoir for the double throttle.

Okay figured out all the lines, thank god! But I do have a blue 2-pin connect behind the air pump that I have no idea where it goes. The wiring isn't that long, I don't see anything nearby it can plug into and it was left unplugged like this when I purchased the car.
Any ideas?

Yep, only 94's and California 93's had that sensor.
Just tuck that out of the way and don't worry about it.
