FD won't rev past 4k rpm

Hi,

I just got my FD out of storage after reinstalling the turbos because of a coolant return line leak. Before storage the car wouldn't make primary or secondary boost but would still rev all the way. Now I have primary boost but there's a violent power cut once you hit 4k rpms. Had the car started earlier today and it would rev all the way, but now it won't rev past 4k even in neutral. The car has new plugs and coils, and as far as mods it has an air pump delete and cold air intake. I was looking through older posts with similar problems, so I'm thinking it could be either the secondary injectors or fuel filter? Any ideas?

Sounds like the secondary injectors are not staging. Any codes?

Stock ecu, there isn't a check engine light so would there be any codes? I was thinking secondary injectors, power seems to cut off based on throttle usage,. I can rev higher with like 1/3-1/2 throttle. Is there a way to check if the secondary injectors are working?

Since you're in Canada, is this a JDM or NADM model?

Others could probably confirm, but since it's JDM, then yes...there could be codes.

Do you use the same method as the LHD to check for codes?

Check continuity from the secondary injectors back to the ecu. If this test passes them back probe the injectors and install a node light to see if they come on under load. If you don't have access to a dyno where you can watch the light, you will have to wire it up into the cabin somewhere where you can see it when driving the car.

the JDM cars have no light, but it has codes. if you search for the LED method checking them is easy

I'm thinking second injectors now. I changed the fuel filter, and cleaned up the ground going from the intake manifold to the firewall and negative battery terminal ground. It seems like the ground might have helped a little but might just be placebo haha. I'll get use a test light for error codes and checking the secondary injectors next.

Check the coils, spark plug wire arching too. I had same issue , ended up being coils and wires arching against the oil pedestal adapter.

Yeah I'll check the coils, they're probably 23 years old. Did dielectric grease help with the arcing?
