Vacuum Line for boost gauge - Where route?

I have tried searching, and I guess Im not using the right syntax or something. I cannot find a place to route the vacuum line into the cabin. The only possibility I see is through a hole in the fender under the cruise control? wtf how does that get to the cabin. I really don't want to drill a hole for it. The place that did my stereo install just drilled a hole, but theres not enough room to share it Where is the best place to pick up the switched lighting power also? I figure since its mounted on the steering column theres probably a great source right under there. Thanks for and help you can offer..

I dont wanna drill another hole, but I guess its the only choice? I dont understand the "fish it with a piece of tube" he is talking about - I looked thoroughly under the dash and could not see the harness or grommet that will allow it to pass through to the inside..

get a coat hanger and straighten it out, and poke it thru the grommet that the steering shaft goes thru. then i ran vacuum hose from the nipple on the passenger side of the UIM down to the grommet, and poked the hanger thru the end of the vacuum hose so you can pull it thru the grommet. then route it up to the top of the steering column.

it's really easy with the top half of the steering column cover off, you can get a flashlight and shine it up from the floor thru there to see where the vacuum line is.

you could tap into the cig lighter, ash tray, anything that lights up with the accessory lights on (parking lights)

BicuspiD, you are on the right track. I don't like stabbing through grommets that are being used for something else. The large hole in the fender behind the cruise control you mentioned is where you want to go. That leads down behind the plastic fender liner inside the fender. If you remove the rear of the liner and pull it away from the fender you will see both the hole behind the cruise up top and a large unused rubber grommet down low that enters the cabin. This grommet leads into the cabin directly behind the fuse box. Currently I have my boost gauge hose, my amp wire and the wire from my water temp sensor going through here.
