vacuum leak?

single turbo fd

pfc

car idles at 900 but as soon as i step on the brakes the car dies

with out foot on brake idle is at 20 vaccuum

foot on brake car goes to 10 vaccuum and dies.

im looking for a vaccum leak now..

any other ideas?

pinch off the booster hose and start the car, then apply the brakes see if it goes away. could be a leaking brake booster.

with the car off pump the brakes until they get hard
while holding the pedal down(will be high and hard) start the car
should get softer and go towards the floor a ways. all done with the booster vac line attached
