V MOUNT Fabrication

I,m looking to fab up a Vmount,I currently run a Koyo radiator and Greddy front mount,I know the Koyo will fit but will the Greddy 2 row fit? I saw one thread on using a Greddy 2 row but it hard to tell if they made it fit? possibly relocating the battery?

Update on mods, still running the twins(may install big single while the car is down)running Rotary extreme mini battery kit and Scoot hood 99 spec front end and CWC dual oil coolers,Carl.

Im actually going to attempt the exact same thing when finals are over. . But i will be using the greddy 2 row and the radiator.com race radiator. It looks like the fmic will fit if you relocate the battery. I will find out here really soon when i start pulling stuff apart next week.

The link below is pretty much the best write-up i have found and its a really nice home design. He diddnt use a greddy fmic (looks like a apexi core). But its pretty much the way i am going to attempt to go about things.

If I were going to go through the trouble and expense of a custom setup, I'd do this: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=ducting

A few people have tried it, but it takes a while and it's not as easy as it looks since you have to re-route the oil cooler lines, a/c condenser, make lots of custom brakets for diff things etc etc. i think the greddy 2 row is too wide to use as a v-mount.

Search for the other 10 or so threads from people who are also trying a custom v-mount.

Hmm..I,m not understanding how this works better..rad and ic look like their back to back, some of the original pics are gone sadly.I can see a fan and their is a electric waterpump, what am I missing?is he running Evans?
Anywhoo results matter, possibly carlos could post pics and give water and intake temps after 20 mins track time. Looks like a 24x12x4 core will fit btw, after removing battery to behind the rear seat.

You can check some pics of my setup out there, its not a "true" vmount, but its damn close <the IC isn't angled down nearly as much as most vmounts, its pretty much horizontal> and with the vented hood it seems to work pretty good so far. We used a 3.5x18x12 core and a 51R battery and then ducted the entire front end of the car. The AC and PS coolers were completely unbolted, dropped, radiator flipped and new brackets welded on, then we mounted it and then mounted the AC and PS coolers below the radiator, the intercooler has a small back wall to direct the remaining air up into it, I was more concerned about engine cooling than air cooling as I'm using a pretty good bar and plate core and the hood vents sit right over the intercooler to evacuate air up and out.

We had a car in here that used the Greddy FMIC in a vmount location. It actually looked really good, but the piping was routed a little weird.
