V-Mount Angles

V-Mount Angles
I'm working on a custom v-mount setup and was wondering what kind of angles and thoughts on what the angles of the IC and rad should be. I am trying to model everything up in cad to make the optimum angles. So far for best fitment it looks like angles of about 30 IC and -30 rad deg fits about the best. Any thoughts comments??

You are correct that the taller the core the less the angle b/c of packaging limitations (cross member in the rear and overall length going forward. I've contemplated something closer to the ~15" stock height setup. I've played with setting it above the cross member as well as the same height as the cross member.
Thats a pretty short core for a radiator. Were you referring to the intercooler?

Yes the IC. The core I'm looking at I thought was plenty big at 18x10.5x3.5. Seems like the other setups I have seen are around the same size depending on placement. I know the SMIC I currently have is a lot smaller ~12x12x3. All of the measurements are without the endtanks of course.

That's a little short for that length (length adds pressure drop as well).
Figure a "large" SMIC is about 11.75 to 12" high, and 17 to 18" core length.
Some of the smaller SMIC's are 10.5", but they are much narrower (like PFS for instance). At that height, with almost double the tube length, I'd want a 4.5" core.
