Right, well i went to put my XS power IC on today, but got a bit carried away, and after a friend kindly donated me an IC, I'm going V-mount instead .
I've removed the stock rad and IC, and the ducting, but I've realise that the AC rad is going to cause a lot of issues
What can be done? has anyone managed to keep it?

If sop, i guess it needs to be disconnected and reloacted? If so, do you have to drain the system and re-do all the AC pipes?! how?! Is it a 'whoops.that pipe fell off' type approcah that other people may have taken?
I'd prefer to kill as little of the environment as possible.

Can't seem to find much on the search - i've found a few piccies where people seem to have flipped the AC rad round 90 degrees - how do you do that?!

d) I like the individuality

Sometimes things are, imho, better when you do them for yourselves

If you like to do stuff by yourself and "engineer" your own setup then you should be very capable to do this yourself without the questions. If you seriously have to ask then have a shop do it. There are many alternatives to everything on the car..Its not very difficult if you have a good understanding of what you want to accomplish. Ill be posting pics of mine sometime in the next few weeks. MY ac is deleted, however, because I never used it and was dead weight.

Not to poo-poo on your party, but..

I say go to them because making a V-mount isn't some random back yard project. Both those shops are driving distance from you and are very capable of getting this taken care of quickly and effectively (though I believe re:worx has a better V-mount).

I prefer to do my own work as well, but there is a time where you need to sit back and realize if a project is too big for you to do alone.

You will need different Radiator hoses since you are flipping the radiator around 90 degrees, you'll also probably have to get some custom IC piping and an aftermarket (2 piece) Elbow. You will need to either relocate, or replace your stock battery to make a FMIC fit inside the engine bay effectively. And you will probably want to get rid of your stock bonnet for something vented to get the most out of a v-mount set up..

Think these things through before you go ripping, cutting and replacing **** *****-nilly...

IRT the original question about the AC, I believe you will need to delete your AC in order to make a v-mount. Though honestly, it doesn't get hot enough on the island to really require it to begin with, and you will benefit from other advantages with it being gone.

I've got the radiator hoses and the IC hoses covered, am perfectly capable fo doing that - I've done custom IC installs in cars before so have some knowledge of what i'm doing.
I've got a vented bonnet already and the wiring and fuses for the battery, and i've also relocated a few batteries in the past.
I've also got ducting, filter location, and a fair few other bits covered

However, I've never had to touch the air con before, and don't know how to deal with the pipework - I'm only asking for advice on this one bit guys - the rest of it I'm fine with. Isn't there anything in life you've been able to deal with

You got pics? I have a RE Monster VMIC that I got 2 years ago that I'm just putting in now during my rebuild, and I'm trying to figure out if I can keep my AC or if I want to get rid of that and the PS.
