as opposed to what? a top fueller?

The numbers they run in japan (particularly, vs $$$ invested) would say that they can be a pretty damn fine drag car.

there's at least a couple in australia running 7s. Isn't the record FD a 6 second car from puerto rico or somewhere?

but you're right they're not drag cars from the factory - but what is?
the pugatti zonda....

In europe we only got 241 hp.

A special R1 version that's combined with the touring version resulting in leather seats sunroof and A/C added on the R1 package.

I made a 13.83 at the 1/4 mile with a 2.26 sec 60'

"In europe we only got 241 hp"

do you know why 241? (where the restriction is)?

I'd think that this figure would be more realistic for the US cars too.

I'd believe you except for the fact that the Efini y-pipe is clearly pictured in my '96, '97, and '98 Japanese RX-7 catalogs For the series Series VII (96-98 RX-7's), its clear that the metal Efini Y-pipe was added as well as some slight ducting changes to the IC/Airbox. In fact, if you check the Big List RX-7 archives, the Efini Y-pipe modification was discussed well before the Series VIII (99-02) RX-7's came out.

My mistake! I just did a search for series 7 rx-7 pictures and found the OZ-spec ones first:

Looks like the s6 one doesn't it? While I'm being corrected, I'll correct myself, OZ-spec S6's DO have EGR valves.
