Again, IMO the only gauges you really need on a stock car with a stock ECU are boost and temp, either oil or coolant. Having both is redundant. Coolant is typically easiest to install and if installed using the TB coolant line, easily reversible. And I don't see the need for fuel pressure. You can't adjust it anyway.
Thanks for your input.

Yep I agree to the first part 100%. As far as the 2nd I am not looking at my radio while trying to go WOT or driving hard. Would not give that a good comparison for me but I do see your point. I already have the dash pod that has been sitting in my tool box so for now will use it. What I really would like, would be a DIN mount but with the gauges slightly recessed where I could still utilize the door and close them off keeping the factory look.

Went ahead and got the DIN mount. Will try and play around with it to make it the way I want. Until then mount gauges in the dash pod.

HKS downpipe should be here mid November. Man was hoping to get this sooner so I could send out to get coated. Gets really cold in Atlanta area around that time at night. Need to invest in a garage heater Suppose to be going to a 4 rotor event Saturday and will pickup my battery cover there. Suppose to rain so hopefully the rain holds off or rains tomorrow instead. Will try and get a video and post a link here of the 4 rotor cars.

So, I haven't asked the question to the forum yet but I've been wondering if something like this would work, or if anyone has used it. Basically it puts six virtual gauges up on the rear view mirror:

Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror 4.3" Graphical LCD Multi Gauge

Would be a very cool way to get the gauges you need while retaining a mostly-stock look!

Got my battery cover today from the mazmart metup. Engine bay is now 100% complete. Also checked out a 4 rotor that sounded so good.

Din mount came in today. Took the dashmount off and there is a mark starting to form on the dash where the pod is touching so that is the last thing I needed to switch to the DIN mount.

Jet Hot quoted me $80. Only thing is the obvious shipping there and pack which will probably cost me about $40 total . That will put me at half the cost of the downpipe. Will check some places out locally and worst case send out to Jet Hot.

Speed hut gauges are in look good. Only thing I would change are the needles. At the last minute I switched from red to dark red. Still look like factory.

Like things clean and forgot to order an eastern beaver kit. Takes about a month and would have been here the same time or earlier than the gauges. Has 6 ignigtion switch ports and 2 constant on ports. I have this for my TL1000. Great quality. Will get the gauges up and running with what I have until this comes in.

Well so much for the gauges . Boost gauge is not working. No power going out to the sending unit from the gauge. The guy said they sent me the wrong harness but that still does not solve the power coming out to the gauge to the harness that connects to the sending unit. I tested all wires thinking they wire it wrong and none of the wire coming out are hot. Hopefully it is the harness but will not know for a few days or possibly next week.

Kinda upset on this because it took them about 6 weeks to get me the gauges and it stayed in testing for about three days. This was a easy catch and should have never shipped out.

Also one reason why I do not like buying something from somebody that has upgraded it. So I noticed when I purchased the car that the factory antenna never came up but I always got good radio signal . So I found a aftermarket antenna behind the glove box. So I am thinking either A. The factory antenna motor does not work and he did not want to replace it, B. He messed it up putting in the new radio. So after taking the lower storage compartment out I found the issue . He just cut the Dam- antenna wires off Call me **** but that is stuff you do in high school learning how to install a radio in a beater! Even then I still never totally cut off anything . Also found out the some of the A/C bezel tabs are broken, probably from him trying to get the radio out oh well it is not obvious and it is in there pretty solid. I would have never known if I did not take off the center console to access the ashtray light. He upgraded the fuel pump to so I might need to do a quality control check on it lol.

Then they just shipped it out UPS standard ground scheduled to deliver next week on the 8th! They could have done USPS priority 2 day for only a few bucks it is just a wire. Guess I will need to express my concern on that to Speed Hut.

Sending unit for temp gauge installed. Pain in the butt, but not hard. Installed it in on the back side of the intake manifold. With that location I am sure it will read a little higher than where the factory sensor is because of the heat just sitting back there. Ran about 180F during normal driving and about 210 sitting.
