Upgraded Twins Dyno Results........
OK, this is premature, but I really excited for SPOAutos and Artguy on their accomplishments so far..... It's new territory and not the easiest to tune.
While we wait for them to get results to post on this thread I was curious to see what ur thoughts would be if they do push the 400+ RWHP mark and even into the mid 450RWHP territory.......
For those of u that are considering upgrading ur turbos, would u consider a BNR or ball bearing upgrade or would u head towards the Single turbo direction?
I can feel the excitement growing on the dyno results by many........ it's almost tantamount to the time man took his first steps on the moon (not that it ever happened )

Well as of yet, there is no numbers or sheets, I think upgraded stockers would be hard pressed to break the 400rwhp mark. Many other factors come into play with high horsepower numbers, tuning, porting, other parts, dyno used, boost, gas, etc...
When and if my turbo's ever go, I'm going the single BB route. Quick spooling, less to go wrong and can make boat loads of power. People have been pulling 400 rwhp @15 psi on stock engines with the GT3540, which is pretty good if you ask me.
Guess I'll have to wait and see for the numbers.

Originally, i would go with the GT35/40 since it has quick spoolup, reliable, simple, and has good high end power. yet if there is a more cost effective alternative, i would go wtih that route. THere is also something cool about opening your hood and it still looks 'stock'. It would be a plus for smogging here in CA and you can still retain the airpump.

two smaller turbines running in parallel which could deliver quick spool up, possibly by 3000-3500 rpm, while pumping out 400-450 hp, would be awesome indeed....if that becomes reality, I'll be tempted....otherwise, the streamlined, high flow manifold of a single turbo makes alot of sense to me

I think you need to take a ride on a Yamaha R1 sometime, batman

plus the good economy here allowed me to draw a decent salary and not get laid off during the recession. I feel bad for you Cali folks, you got screwed both ways...
Regs are only gonna get tighter around the country, so if you're in a major metro are, i'd start planning for this.

I've kept a HF Cat for other reasons but I doubt I'd pass emissions with my setup.

Costa Rica my friend but your FD would never last......barring that Florida if you can stand the so called humidity everyone complains about but I have yet to notice in 20 years. And no emissions now.

I'm very interested in the dyno sheets from those running upgraded twins. I would definitely like to stay as "stock" appearing as possible, and if these set ups can produce 400+ reliable rwhp, while spooling quickly, I'm all over it!

Don't hold your breath... in the several months that these have been talked about, not one sheet has been posted with a figure north of 400 hp in any config. There must be no Kinkos south of Washington DC.... as someone could have snail-mailed me their sheet, and i could have driven to the nearest kinkos, scanned it, and mailed the sheet back in this amount of time.

Super Newbie
You have to go to the public page first. Not the control panel. Then when you do that, it won't let you link to it.
I have a Webshots account. They kind of suck. I can compress it some with Photoshop and post it here if you want...
