I wonder if it's an adaptor plate style or if they machine the bell housings to bolt up the motors.

Domestic automatic TH350's, 400's, and powerglides arent for all of us either. Most of us arent all about the 1320. BTW, we are running a TH400 in the racecar poopra and its good for one thing and one thing only...drag. Some of our customers order a fully built auto trans for poopras and sc's with Precision Industries 3800 stall converters. One thing they fail to realize is if this is a street car, you cannot travel long distances at all since the heat kills the tranny and converter. Good luck in your choice.

This is even with a trannY cooler. We've built too many automatic transmissions to count and usually the customer orders a tranny cooler and it still overheats on long trips. Its just not made for long driving with a built auto and 3800 stall (on auto supra transmissions anyways).

Whoever is taking their RX7 on long trips needs to have their head examined

There are tons of threads about people driving their FD's long distances without any problems, you've been here longer than I have so you must have already known that.

Neal the longest drive Lupe's *ever* put on his FD was 1/2 a mile... going down the 1/4 mile track, then driving back the 1/4 mile to line up again
