Upgrade FPR w/o AN lines?

My original OEM FPD is pretty crispy and I know it's a disaster waiting to happen. In light of recent posts like this - https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=205590 I've thought rather than replacing it with an OEM FPD I'd go the aftermarket FPR route. I'm running 550/1300's in the stock rails with a Cosmo/Supra/Nippon pump. As much as I'd love to replumb the whole system with some nice braided lines and AN fittings it's a bit beyond my budget and overkill for my application. Can an aftermarket FPR (like the SX one from the link above) be fitted to stock fuel lines?

It would be a shame to dig around in there without running better lines but I don't see why you couldn't tap the stock rail exit with 1/4NPT and feed it to a SX or Aeromotive FPR. From the FPR just run a line to the stock return. Because the FPRs have AN style fittings you might as well run a small AN lines where you need to, but you can use the socketless fittings and lines and save a few $$.

More importantly though, your fuel map may be off because (I'd assume) that the stock FPR and an aftermarket may control fuel pressure a little differently.

im sure it could be used with rubber lines, just look for npt or AN (not sure what fittings they use) to hose barb adapters.
