ummm I broke my powersteering pully

iv Read up some on people who removed their power steering and they can drive their car just fine... will it be ok for me to leave the pump on with out the pully? the pully is in at least 30 different pieces ha

it's plastic and a slide on unit, don't drop it and certainly do not use a jaw puller to remove it.

leaving the pump inactive with no belt will be fine until you get a replacement pulley, be ready for a workout though.

i have a somewhat related question. i bought my FD, and it was missing the power steering pulley, but there actually was a plastic pulley in the glove box but i don't think it fit on the pump. is there more to it than the pump and a pulley? is there a fitting that goes into the pulley first? wish i was home so i could double check..

nope, the pulley slides directly onto the pump shaft and tightens with a locknut. the pulley is not multi pieced.

this guy makes sets of pulleys, kind of pricey but a more reliable replacement.
