UIM Gasket blown=boost problem
I have a really high idle as some of you know. Well, I have been told that the UIM gasket could be blown...well if that was the case, then wouldn't the boost be effected as it would seep from the gasket. I'm boosting just fine...so I don't think that it would be the UIM gasket. The other thing is that at idle (2200 rpm), I'm running about 18 on the boost gauge of vaccuum...what should I be at?

18 is great and that would you should be at and yes boost would leak and you would be able to hear it like a tea pot escaping. But just one thing i thought you might check is to see if you have any ECU error codes.

the vac is gonna be higher at 2200 rpms than it would at about 800. can you adjust the tb screw to drop down the idle? If you can and your vac is like 10 or less than you got the same problem i have. Once i take it to get it fixed, ill tell you what was wrong with mine
