twin upgrade-vs-single
I currently have stock twins on my car but looking to up grade to something else. I like the power of the apexi rx6 turbine and im considering purchasing it. But a friend of mine told me about the upgraded twin kit which he said puts out just as much hp as a single. My question is does the twin kit put out just as much power as the single turbine? And which one is more reliable for an everyday driver?

The good thing about going with the Apexi RX6 would be getting rid of the sequential control system (if that bugs you) and less heat under the hood. However, I don't believe the Apexi RX6 turbo is rebuildable here in the US, so if something happens to it (gets damaged from a blown seal or something) you will be looking for a new turbo.
Either the BNR/M2 upgraded twins or the Apexi would be fine for daily driving, IMO. Personally, I like the sequential system so I would go for the M2 or Stage 2 BNR upgrade.

I am currently in the same debate with the guys at rp who love the t78 and I have decided to go with the efini twins since my stockers are not that great. Also in the works is that when I do finally get a daily driver to then if I want to put on the single that is when I will do it but I will then get the gt35/40 have heard alot of good things about this turbo so look into those as well.

the bnrs and the m2 set are the only proven upgraded twins.
Im going to do some vids of my car so you all can see the m2s in action.
when the bistates are proven...they will be a valuable set if they work out. they are cheaper because they dont upgrade the shafts which has previously proven to be prone to breakage.
i wouldnt say anything...but honestly..ive dealt with four sets of twins on my car now and the only ones I was happy with were the original stock set and my m2 ballbearing twins.

$1600 is a good price for upgraded twins - that's the cost of the BNR 2s (maybe it's $1650, not sure..I got mine for a good deal before Bryan had any dyno numbers for his turbos) Hope everything works out for BI State and their turbos..can always use more turbo experts for the FD

Bryan (BNR) also does everything in house. Including fabing his own parts for the dynamic seal conversion.
I'm curious what the difference is in the Bi State upgrades versus every other upgrade thats ever been made in the past like from Pettit, PFS, Ray (pretty much everyone but BNR & M2). Its still on the stock shaft with carbon seals. Is it pretty much the same as those but maybe with a different compressor wheel???

I thought someone just posted that they did upgrade the shaft? Actually, looking back, he said they never said they didn't upgrade it. So...is the shaft upgraded or not? This shouldn't be something we have to guess at.
