I'm using a cheap Costco (Kirkland brand, they slap that name on mixed nuts and jeans so you know its cheap!) battery (stock) and am waiting for it to die so I can install Jeff's tray an a 51R battery. No problems with leakage, but I still have a stock intercooler and duct that has dedicated fresh air ducting to the battery, this probably helps.

How did you order one without the group buy? ...ok, he counts +1.

Very nice tray...well built. My only problem was the Koyo i put in sat up a bit higher and made the fans sit right next to the corver of the tray to rub. But i just used nylon spacers to raise the tray an inch and it works great now.

FWIW, I noticed some spillage on mine when I first bought it. I ended up repainting that little bit of subframe and getting a cheap Kirkland battery to replace it. So far, no problems... but Jeff's tray is looking good now.

I find it funny that the stock fiberglass tray has channeling to drain right on the subframe and that the battery has it's own air duct... Like it wasn't a question of "if" the battery leaks, but "when".

Jeff's tray is very good ( I helped a tiny bit with the design). I use one of those yellow 'battery mats' that absorbs and neutalizes minor spillage. figure it also acts as an insulator from rad'r heat.

you can use one of the billet cross bars available for honda civics to dress it up a bit.

I won't bother my vendor with quotes until I get enough orders. Pricing won't be lower than $55 shipped to 48 states and shouldn't ever be more than $65 shipped.

These trays have been in production for 3yrs and pricing has not changed, sooner or later I think they will up the price on me...

FYI there are 120 of these trays "in the field" now I don't know how many are being used but I have seen them at 7stock and in pics at other places like Rotary Revolution.

I have a turbojeff battery tray, but I haven't got a battery for it yet. I was wondering where I could get a battery cover for it. I have a vented hood and don't want water getting on the batery. Could I just use like any 51 sized battery cover? Does anybody know a good place to pick something like this up?

This is where I bought my 51 for my CRX but for some reason it says it's a Miata battery. You can allways call them for the 51R.

"link"

And here is a place I found with a web search "link"

I'd rather they were made right away (then 20 people in) so I can be running in two weeks.

It won't fit with the Rotary Extreme v-mount. It will work with the HKS v-mount.

Oh hell, put me down too Chickenwing.

I assume the stock terminals will fit the Optima 51RDA, correct?

You're going to talk this GB over with Jason, right?
