Turbo timer is a turbo timer...Pick one you like...most people end up stashing it under the dash where you never see it anyway. I have the HKS type 1 with the 0-60, timer, RPM, moon phase, sperm count, and all that. Since the day I got it, it has done nothing but it's intended use, turning the car off after 60 seconds of cool down.

Seems like the HKS and the Greddy timers are the more popular ones. You pick.

Just drive easy the last few minutes, and spare the money you would spend for the turbo timer.

Ditto........

Not to mention the wasted time for installation and wasted space it takes.

So leaving it idling for 60 seconds or under 3,000 rpm for 2 min would be about the same thing?

There are times where you are going to be driving hard and need to stop in a hurry to do whatever and don't really have the time to babysit you car for 60 seconds before shut down (especially if it's a daily driver)...It may not seem like a long time but give it a shot...it seems like forever when you are just waiting there looking at your watch...it's like watching water boil.

What are you talking about...I bet you guys don't have timers. With the $15 harness installation is a snap (literally) well, besides a power and a ground wire... If you buy one with all the extra features you will have to tap into the ECU but if you just want it to shut the car dow after a certain period, set it, and ty-wrap it up under your dash and never look at it again...

Check this out....crotch AC vent, no space taken up yet still accessable. and what's a $100 when you are talking FD anyway?

Sounds good. For now I will wait out the 60 seconds as long as it may feel.

I've got the HKS Type 0 Turbo timer, It was installed in the glove box completely out of the way by rotary peformance.

I would give the HKS unit a thumbs up for doing it's job peferctly it may not be as fancy as many but definetly works.

I place mine on top of the steering column. It's the old Blitz with boost gauge. Boost gauge wasn't all that accurate.

I see e-bay selling a buncha these timers from Japan with Japanese instructions. Now I love Nihon-go, but I am very rusty. Are there English instructions available for installing the timer and harness for, say, an HKS timer? Seems like it should be easy if one had good instructions.....
