ill tell you what to check buddy. 99 percent of times,at our shop, the reason for this is simple. pull the upper intake and check your shop manual as to wich check valves control the vac to the turbos.check those check valves. they go out often.causing loss of spool. give it a try!!!

Check to make sure your charge relief valve hose didn't pop off, that's happened to me before. I had to superglue and zip tie that bee@tch back on!

thats the little black valve that has a twin next to it right?front of the motor? cause if it is,and the hose didnt come off, pull it off,the vac line i mean,if it doesnt relieve any pressure, then that could be it too

I am currently haveing a similar problem and the rotary techs here say the same thing(precontroll vacume valve wholesale cost $120.00) if you check the factory service manual that is online for download at rx7city.com it tells you how to test the solenoids and what ohms are acceptable. Print the manual its a great tool.

A hole in any pressurized hose will cause a boost leak. Fix all leaks before you begin other troubleshooting.

if you go to the wrecking yard and look at 90ish Mazdas you will find that the solenoids valves, check valves, and temperature sensors are the same as used on the FD...I replaced all of my brittle ones for less than $50. Even the Turbo Precontrol, wastegate control and turbo control valves can be found, but not as easily as the ones under the intake. The plastics on parts from non-turbo cars in many cases are like new.

Do you remember which 90's Mazdas you pulled yours from? Specifically the Turbo Precontrol, wastegate control and turbo control valves....

90% of the time the issue is with the control system (solenoid, vacuum hose, etc) and not the turbos themselves. The crv itself rarely fails. Usually its the solenoid. Give me a call at the shop and I would me more than happy to help.
