Turbo lingo what does all this mean?

Guys is there someone out there that can tell me tonight what the following means.

Twin turbos set as sequential with the following:

Turbonetics turbo with a T25 Exhaust wheels.
Super 60 trim compressor wheels.
Snails and wastgate have been enlarged.

From a stock turbo what does all of the above mean in regular jargon? How will the power differ from a stock sequential system.

umm, The turbonetics Exhaust wheels should increase performance

same for the Compressor, more CFM

The Snails, no ******* idea unless he you mean Pill

The wastegate was ported for boost over 15psi, Other wize you get boost creep.

I would think tuned, you could push 300-350 ish....some one with more experence with Turbonetics can give you a better answer

The stock turbo assembly consist of two turbos(snails) attacked to the turbo housing which contains the wastegate. All of this is attached to the exhaust manifold which is bolted to the engine.

Thus the stock turbos(snails) have been replaced with larger snails which have larger turbine and comprressor wheels.

The stock system runs sequentially. Number one(front) turbo comes online first and around 4500rpm the number 2 (rear) turbo comes in.

I run non-sequential which means my two turbos work all the time together.

??????????????

Ok so I think that with the bigger compressor wheels I flow more air thus more power, is that correct?

What does the T25 exhaust wheel do?

With the above what difference would you notice when comparing a stock sequential system to this upgraded one?

Thanks

The problem is the exhast manifold..Go single if you want more power. Do you have a ported motor with all the bolt ons?

Power

I was looking to stay sequential but gain more power and a wider power ban than the stock system.

For the last 3 yrs I have been running 18-22 lbs of boost to get the power I needed.

The turbo lingo is greek to me. With the stuff that this has will it provide more power, wider power band and still have the same response?

The exhaust (turbine) wheel probably has more blades which will catch more exhaust flow,..which in turn will spool faster, ..which will make the Compressor Wheel spool just as fast creating quicker boost.??

I have been running 18-22 lbs of boost

I don't think that can happen on stock twins.

it can happen, and happens more then you would think, its just that our engeins dont ususally last that long and the efficiency kinda goes to crap after abotu 15psi with out a huge intercooler/propane or water injection

BTW: whenyou post in teh future, please put an actual topic instead of ????????????????

i mean wtf is that suppose to mean anyways?

You have to compromise with response and power, it's pretty much impossible to dramatically increase your hp and keep a quick turbo response, unless you constantly spool with nitrous. Getting a ceramic ball bearing turbo will increase your response by about 500 rpm over a non-ball bearing turbo. I think that the best thing to do in choosing a turbo is to talk with the turbo manufacturer directly. Give them the specs of your engine and mods and tell them how much and where do you want your powerband.

You were right and I did not know how to fix it.
