turbo blankets

Ok this could be a really dumb question so I apologize in advance.

I see many single turbos running blankets on their setups. I assume this is to keep the temperatures out of the engine bay and maybe keep the turbo warmer allowing gas to flow faster???

Anyway my question is if they make them for single turbo applications, and are effective how come people do not run them on twins (besides the odd shape)? It is a well known fact the twins give off tons of heat, and wouldn't a blanket be even more effective with this setup?
