Now, considering what has been done to the car, you may be able to get away with using a piggyback ECU and just fine tune what you have. I'm not suggesting that's the best way to go, but it's probably possible.

first of all thanks for all this info....secondly i wanna knw if i shud go through with the switching to the T04E turbo cuz my current FC turbo's days it seems are numbered...well what im tryin to stay is shud i stick to this messed up turbo OR get a T04E which is up for sale in my country IF i dont find stock twins cuz im from Pakistan and there only abt 10-12 fds..

Not without a programmable ECU. So if you can't afford a programmable ECU, do not get the T04. Right now you are just lucky the FC turbo is a small turbo.

If you can afford the T04 you can afford a Power FC ---- at least where I come from, a real T04 is about 2 and a half times more expensive than a PFC

And if you get a PFC, at least you can sort out your rich condition properly, and make more power the right way (getting the tuning right)

just my .02

If budget is an issue, perhaps you can get a set of stock twins setup for non-sequential. I would assume that anyone who installed an FC turbo on the FD, may have eliminated many of the solenoids and other parts related to the sequential system.

dude im pretty much screwed arent i? and im gettin the T04E for abt 300dollars...the guy used it in his own fd with some "chipped" ecu whcih is also for sale but dont knw what the specs are on that...find me a power fc for that much and ill buy it in a sec anyway yeah ur probably right i bought the car from a guy who doesnt really knw anything i dont knw how he managed to single turbo it....infact he claimed he'd been running the car on 15psi ever since...sigh....would a fpr or s-afc help if i continued with this fc turbo? perhaps i could switch to one o those small ihi turbos? i see where ur coming from with going to the stock twins its gonna be highly unlikely that ill be able to find em here so im just thinking of possible alternatives IF i cant find the twins...

What's wrong with saving your money until you can afford to buy what you want?

It's not like you can just remove the FC turbo and bolt on the T04E anyways; you will probably need to change the downpipe, charge piping and intake piping as well.

As a noob I wouldn't recommend that you try to "tune." I have had mt R2 for over two years and am just beginning to understand it. It takes a lot of money and knowledge to correctly "tune" an FD. Save your money for when it breaks. Start adding reliability mods later down the road and go from there.

It might not be a bad deal especially if its in good shape and includes all the parts necessary to install. Sometimes these things are missing manifolds or other stuff such as cooling hoses and oil hoses for the turbos and pipes to the intercooler. But $300 is pretty damn good if it has all the parts to bolt on and the turbo isn't blown. He won't include the ECU? I can't imagine it would be very useful to him unless he's getting a similar turbo kit to replace the one he is selling. Got any pics of what he is selling for that price?

Overall, I wouldn't say you are screwed. It sounds like your car runs and drives so that is a plus right there. Running the FC turbo kit gets you less power but it runs apparently.

Do you know if you have the stock injectors in the car? I assume you do.

For comparison, a friend of mine had a T04 with an ebay manifold and ran the stock injectors with a PFC at low boost for a while. Eventually, he enlarged the secondaries to 1300cc and got it tuned for higher boost.

tuning for noobs is getting a PFC and plugging it in! If you dont have enough money to do it properly, dont modify the car.
