Trying to find rear hatch struts!

Hey guys,I'm working on a 94 rx7 at the moment, and we ordered trunk/hatch struts but there the generic kind... I've never seen these kind of struts before so I really didn't think the ones we ordered wouldnt work. The local Mazda dealership wants 150 bucks for each strut, with the bracket. Anyone have any other, hopefully more inexpensive, leads or ideas?

There is only two ways I'm afraid - did ours of searching the forum: you either buy the Mazda ones or you buy some copies (I got ebay ones) and make the required conversion (ie. saw of the part needed to hold the new non oem struts)

Ray at Malloy Mazda has really good prices, and knows all the parts we need. I got the Mazda ones when I needed them, and am not sorry.

I've yet to see aftermarket ones that were worth a damn. New or good used is the only option.
