I have been told the Fuel Filter for a FD is the same as the one used in the miata of that model year. Now the part numbers are not the same so I wanted to confirm whether it is or isn't the same. Thanks guys

 

I haven't heard that one before. Why not just buy one from RP for $25? Do you already have a miata one? If you change it yourself be prepared for cursing. Its a pita.

under/behind the subframe.

 

You can get a replacement filter from O'Reilly's, PepBoys, AUTOZONE, etc for about $9 that is an OEM replacement filter.
I've bought a couple of them.

ya I started removing mine and gave up. somebody gave me a good idea I'm going to try, remove/cut the hoses from the old ones and run new lines to a new one thats in an easier location!

 

He should try removing the parts he owes people instead of the fuel filter, IMHO.

 

He should probably learn how to spell before doing any of that:

You can do it with needle nose pliers and a small set of locking pliers without pulling any of the lines if you take your time, attack from intelligent angles, and have small girly hands (like me).

 

Since you will be working on your car, you can pull the parts you owe people.
