So I received the turbo.

My current oil feed line is -2 AN. Brand new, had it made up locally last year, $60. But I think -2 AN is too small.

From what I have read, these turbos with -4 AN line don't require an oil restrictor, correct?

Have you guys bought this oil feed kit on eBay? It seems to be great. What do you think?

Alright then!

I removed the compressor cover to rotate it and I noticed that there is no seal... Is it normal? Turbo was bought brand new!

I've seen some turbos that don't have it or just have a very thin smear of RTV. If the surfaces are machined well and true in that case it doesn't need much if any of a gasket.

The turbo rubs against the frame. I am using the OBX manifold. I tried to use 1 or 2 spacers, still no success. It also comes very close to the LIM (but it becomes OK with 1 or 2 spacers (with gaskets)).

What have you guys done? Quick reminder: I've got a Borgwarner S362 SX-E.

On my old set up, I had turblown's manyfold and had to clock the compressor housing downward to connect it to my intercooler.

Finally, I think it's gonna fit with one spacer. An honest 1mm clearance on each side...

Now I've got a very interesting question. If someone can help me on that - it would save me a TON of frustration.

I had the same issue with my old turbo:

I'm trying to tighten that bolt (front left, turbo to manifold). It is nearly impossible for a human hand to tighten it. What am I doing wrong?

Solution: get different manifold.

What i can tell you that that was the first bolt going in, but tight it last. I didnt have that much trouble as i can remember.

Regarding the bolt, I don't think it would change anything.

I just meant you have the spacer issues already and it sits so close to everything. Other manifolds can position it differently and give better access.

Regarding that but. Maybe a bent wrench or a crowfoot

I think you are right about the clearance issue. This, or grind the LIM, the turbo itself, or the frame (no I'm not grinding the frame). But it seems to be OK now anyway.

I'll try a bent wrench or something like that... I'm surprised that Red94fd mentioned he didn't have much trouble.

Just remember , i had a different manifold. I think i had to lift the turbo meanwhile i secured that bolt. Also you can try separating the turbine from the chra if the other bolts securing the chra to the turbine alows you to. You are better of trying different wrench though.

My FD came with some cheap ebay manifold. It also did not fit my S363sxe. I got a different exhaust manifold.

Not super comfortable jiggling these things around with the CHRA removed. I guess maybe thinking about a different wrench (or tool) is a good idea...

I hope I will not have to do that...

Removing the turbine was by far the best idea.

So now the turbo is installed. Oil feed and return lines also installed.

Now I don't like my new problem.

OEM hood doesn't close. Good news are: I am able to close the hood without that blue silicone hose installed. But I'm not sure what to do from there.

Cut the silicon hose? Grind the hood frame? Change the manifold (I hope not)?

Can you rotate the compressor housing so that the outlet isn't located at the top?

It is an excellent idea. I'm pretty sure that's the best solution, I'll try that. I should have thought about it before. Thanks!

I'm getting there. Compressor housing rotated, now I've got to remake some of the piping. I would need this. How would you call it? I tried to search "Z-shape piping", without success.
