Tranny light?

Searched for this but didn't find anyone with a similar problem. The yellow transmission light comes on sporadically and then goes out after a few seconds. I don't have the owner's manual but I assume this means it thinks I'm low on gear oil (5MT). I know that's not the case because I replaced all the fluids when I bought the car with Neo synthetic. Could be a bad sensor? Car shifts perfectly. Anyone else have this problem?

Heh I just assumed that's what it was. It's yellow on and the left side of the wheel. It's a little picture, guess it could be a picture of a motor instead of a tranny. Is the CEL yellow? I figured it'd be red.

He's talking about the check engine light. I seem to have a similar problem. It comes on but if I turn the car off and back on it goes away...

Does yours go away if you restart the car?

no there's no cel for changing gear oil, that's just something you have to feel out when shifting's rough.

You will have to read the code on that CEL, one of the sensors might be bad, see what code it is and refer to a FSM to see which one is faulty

Ahh so the yellow light *IS* the CEL. Okay. And no, the light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off on it's own while I'm driving. I don't have to KOKO or restart the car or anything.

That's on the bottom (underneath) of the UIM. I image your car is probably not running as well as it should with that CEL.
