Traction - Best Solutions

Hey all.. Im trying to find the best route to take in solving some minor traction issues.. My mods now are Apexi intakes, DP,CB,8.5 mm wires. When im getting on it first gear is basicly a lost cause at transition i get a plethora of wheel spin, Second gear at transiton i get wheelspin to. and besides feathering the clutch and playing with the throttle i need to know what mods i need to do before i start getting into more serious power mods. It would be pointless for me to invest the time and money into getting more power if i cant get it to the street and stick. I already plan on getting rid of the potenza 225's. But other then that, what do you guys/gals reccomend? What are you running suspension wise that has helped you out the most?

As Always Thanks!

~Jay

get trailing arms. My friend had some on his car and he said it made his car hook up so much better. They are reletively cheap as well. Around 200-250.

I wouldn't think you would be having such traction problems with your current set up, especially on US roads. I think once you have changed your tyres you will see a big difference - maybe you should consider wider rims as well.
In any case, you might also want to check your suspension set up, it could be that something is wrong there - for instance, I have Koni adjustables, and they were badly set up...once I put the same settings on all 4, the car handled much better
Hope this helps

run some 9" rims with 275+ sized tires. If your going to street drag, you could use the Nitto 555R's.

wider tires.
I've got 10 inches in the back (295's) and I rarely loose traction.

Plus 18x10's look bad ****.

There is no way you should be losing traction that badly at your current power level. Get some decent tires. Replace any worn out bushings in the suspension.
