Is it totalled?

I know, I know... I don't need any "I told ya's" or "SEE". I know I screwed up and I'm kicking myself right now, but I wrecked this morning: I hit a ditch and flipped 1.75 times and landed on the side and then back onto the wheels (but there is no road damage to the roof, metal part of the hatch, or the top of the hood and the only busted glass was the rear windshield) anyhow, the car suffered body damage on all panels except the roof, lost the rear windshield and one rear wheel was tucked under. This, unfortunately, is probably totalled, correct? If it is or if it isn't, I would love to buy it back and rebuild it, is there anyone/anywhere that you all would recommend. The front end suffered the least damage and it started right up and ran fine ( the motor is a mazda replacement with 2000 miles on it and the all but two months of a 3 yr warranty). The doors, the hatch and hood all open and shut and the drivers door is the only one that binds, but its because the fender is back on it a little. Any opinions as to totalled or not? I'm not looking for opinions as to whether or not I should have been driving it or should have owned it, just as to repair estimates. I know I wasn't ready, and I was trying to get into autocross to understand the dynamics of handling a hi-perf. rwd car.

If you damaged every body panel it is totalled from insurance point of view. But since you mention the hood, roof and hatch are OK and it doesn't sound like anything got really hit it sounds totalled fixable.

you can also host pics at www.fotopic.net They allow direct linking (with the [IMG] and [/ IMG] tags) and imagestation doesn't.

As far as insurance is concerned, yes, it's totalled.

Time to put a post in either the Parts For Sale section or the Rolling Chassis Wanted section. It's not worth rebuilding unless you have an large supply of cheap labor, and a spare car. RIP

Its totalled to the 2nd power. Fixing that up will cost an arm and a leg. For ***** and giggles show those pictures to a body shop and try to get a quote from them to give you an idea of what it costs to restore it. I would look for a body with no engine or interior and swap everything over. That will probably be the best way to go.

So you don't want to hear any "I told you so's". Too bad. Looks like yet another teenage driver who thinks he can drive, and finds out he can't. Another totalled FD. One more car that won't be enjoyed by anyone.

So you ran into a ditch. How about telling us why. What dumb-*** manuever put you there? Inquiring minds want to know.
